Pressure Sand & Carbon Filters Plant

These filters remove chlorine, color, odor, and organic impurities, improving taste and appearance of water. Essential for both pre-treatment and polishing stages.
Pressure sand filters remove particulate matter while carbon filters remove color, taste, odor, chlorine, and organics from water. Used in commercial kitchens, hospitals, and beverage industries.
Features:
Activated carbon with high iodine value
Rust-proof vessels (FRP/SS/MS)
Easy installation and operation
Sand filters trap suspended solids while carbon filters remove chlorine, organics—for ultra-clean, taste-improved water.
🔹 Used in hospitality, breweries, and healthcare
🔹 Manual or automatic options
These are used to treat water for Sand filters act as particle traps, while activated carbon filters remove chemical contaminants and improve taste.
✔ Corrosion-resistant vessels
✔ Ideal for pre-filtration and polishing
✔ Widely used in the hospitality and manufacturing sectors
Process
The water treatment process involves the downward flow of raw water through a filter bed. Suspended matter is treated with a coagulant like alum or polyelectrolyte, which is then retained on the sand surface and between the sand grains. Over time, there is an increase in the loss of head, leading to reduced flow. The filter is taken out of service to clean the filter media through a backwash operation, sometimes preceded by air scouring. This process agitates the sand to loosen the intercepted particles, preparing the filter to be put back into service.
